Around Manaslu Trek
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
Welcome and transfer to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we can stroll through the old lanes of Kathmandu and have the first glimpse into the lives of the Nepalese people.
Day 2 Drive: Kathmandu - Gorkha - Barpak (1000m)
After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu for Barpak. We see the Himalayan range after crossing a Mountain Pass (1400m) at Thankot, which is an exit point from the valley of Kathmandu. We drive through green hills and the valley of the Dhorandi Khola all the way up to Barpak. Barpak as a starting point allows us to make a pleasantly different, and less frequented itinerary of two days, before joining the classic route of the tour of Manaslu. During these two days, we cross many authentic villages of Gurung people like Laprak and Singla. We walk in the middle of the magnificent rice paddies that dot beautifully the hilly Nepal.
Drive: 7 hours
Day 3 Barpak - Laprak (2200m)
Through a calm forest trail, we reach the Pushu Danda at an altitude of 3,000 meters. Our effort is rewarded with superb views of Himal Buddha (6672 m) and the various peaks of Ganesh Himal (7100 m). We then descend to Laprak, another authentic Gurung village. We sneak in and out of stone houses to receive a warm wecome from our hosts.

From Singla, we can see again the imposing massif of Ganesh Himal. Walk down to Khorla Bensi, from where we trek along the classic trail of the Manaslu Circuit.
