Anurodh SJB Rana
Born and grown up in Kathmandu, he has been in the tourism sector for over 25 years and has been passionate about visiting the pagodas and monasteries of Kathmandu since his childhood. As a pilgrim, he traveled extensively through the Himalayas, Tibet, Bhutan and Ladakh, both for the discovery of the landscapes and for the monuments, and the caves where the great masters would have meditated so long ago. A graduate of history and culture, and with a lot of tourism training and experience in his background, he is in charge of hotel reservations, transport, flights and treks on the Himalayan trails. He is also responsible for the smooth running of your stay in Nepal, India, Bhutan and Tibet. Fluent in English thanks to his schooling in Kathmandu's St. Xavier's, he has also very good notions of the French language.
Originally from eastern Nepal, he comes from a family that basically lived on agriculture in the mountains - in front of the Himalayan Peaks of Kanchanjangha and Janu - near the tea terraces of Ilam. After completing his education in the countryside, he moved to Kathmandu to continue his studies. A Graduate in Commerce, he also earned a diploma in the French language . He studied French, first in Kathmandu and later in Besançon, France, thanks to a scholarship from the French government. Buddhi’s passion for more than 20 years has been to lead travel groups to the gorgeous and soaring Himalayas: Annapurnas, Everest, Langtang, Kanchanjangha but also in Ladakh and Rajasthan. The trails of Annapurnas and Rajasthan particularly thrill him. For many years now, he divides his time between the management of the office in Kathmandu and the field trips.
Born in Kathmandu, Anup has witnessed hundreds of evolutions of this mythical city of a thousand pagodas and stupas. He is always amazed to view this emerald valley surrounded by giant Himalayan mountains in the north. It left him with the indelible dream to crisscross the highs of the Himalayas. After obtaining his Master’s and simultaneously his diploma in the French language at the Alliance Française, he completed Cultural Guide Training and then Trekking Guide Training. For over 20 years he has traveled through the Himalayas, Tibet, Ladakh, Bhutan and Rajasthan. For many years now, like his partners, he divides his time between field trips and the management of the office in Kathmandu.
