Everest: The Khumbu Region

Everest, and the name is enough! The highest mountain in the world indeed but also a legend, a story and a history too – many times told, retold; written and rewritten.  More than just a trek, this alpine world is also about valleys and hills; dense beautiful forests; Sherpa people and their villages and Buddhist monasteries, fertile slopes and as many say: stone steps towards the paradise! You go through all this enriching, and uplifting, lifetime trekking experience before having a tête-à-tête with Sagarmatha, or the front of the sky – as the Nepalis fittingly call Mt. Everest – the towering symbol of the ultimate goal for mountaineers.
